Leave Now

Just stop.

Get out of my head.

Get out of my memory.

Get out of my fucking dreams.

Get out of my Saturday mornings.

I dreamt that I was selling off all of your things. They were all bright blue gems on necklaces, bracelets, broaches...

I do not fear the ghost I see in the window of our old apartment when I come home.

Just stop.

And please leave now.

When I woke this morning I thought it was curious how everything was blue. The jewelry of hers that I was selling quickly reminded me of the beads that Julie takes with her when she moves from her old house in Three Colours Blue.

Freedom... according to the French. Maybe that is the connection. That is all I can come up with.

I'm open to other interpretations as well.

BTW I especially like how Julie devours the blue hard candy.

From some online dream dictionaries, I get a couple ideas.

Jewelery represent value, either self value or monetary value. You've certainly been struggling with both, so only you can really figure out what they meant in this dream. Was the TYPE of jewlery significant? Did different types gain different values?

alternately: To see jewelry in your dream, signifies your own sense of self worth and personal value. It is also symbolic of knowledge, identity, or whatever qualities you hold precious in your life. They highlight the importance of spirituality and psychological riches. A particular piece of jewelry that you own, may symbolize aspects of a waking relationship.
It's interesting that it wasn't YOUR jewlery you were trying to get rid of, but hers.

Selling can represent insecurities as well, difficulty coming to terms with something. Also changes and your feelings towards these changes.

The colour blue represents inner peace as you say, but also feeling injured or depressed. It can also represent loyalty and eternity.

MD- you research is stunning and much appreciated. It is real hard for me to recognize & interprate happenings in my dreams for I haven't done so before. I suppose it always interested me but I've never been sure of their significance in my concious world. This will make good food for Monday morning. Thank you my dear.

jenn- hey, thank you. It is nice to be able to get feedback here in the blogsphere. Do you write at all?

a little...but every poem that i published on my blog is really not fit for human eyes...it's TERRIBLE. so i just got good at writing how i feel with no concern to form or beauty. so i'm always impressed with someone who can lasso their thoughts enough to make them poetic and moving. and i think this last poem did just that...very nice job.

I have been having the weirdest dreams.. I dreamt my mum had decorated my new place and she had put over 15 mirrors in it and I was very upset.

Anything on that, MD? lol

jenn- *blushes* Thanks, I think that whatever I have done if actually poetic I chalk up to a tremendous influence from lyrical content.

nat- according to what I found, mirrors symbolize the imagination and a link between the conscious and unconscious. That's all I found at a glance...

sass- for the longest time I couldn't remember hardly any dreams. They were so completely random and weird that when I'd try to remember as soon as I wake, they would fade like the end of a song. I started remembering more when my shrink encouraged me to do so. Also, this is the first dream I have had in years where happenings were specific enough as to recall and try to analyze.
